A little about me

Hi, I’m Hazel Rose.
I’m a singer songwriter based in London, born and raised in Switzerland by my Danish mother and Turkish father. My multicultural background has shaped not only who I am but the music I create—a genre blending mix of indie pop, bossa nova, and jazz pop that reflects both my heritage and the emotional landscapes I’ve lived through.

My love for music started early, thanks to my parents’ endless playlists filled with The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, and Creedence Clearwater Revival. I still remember buying my first CD, Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black, and obsessively singing along. Music has always been more than just a passion; it’s what wakes me up, what keeps me up late, what grounds me wherever I am in the world.

I released my debut single Scream in 2022, followed by my first EP 10,000ft in 2023. At the end of 2024, I released Soft Whispers in a Crowded Room, which marked a turning point for me creatively. Since then, I’ve shared three new tracks, Meet You There, Shadow, and Spare Key, each of them honest reflections of where I’ve been emotionally and where I’m heading.

My music is rooted in storytelling, truthful, unfiltered, and sometimes a little raw. I write from personal experience: friendships, heartbreak, healing, identity, and the quiet in between moments. I’m inspired by artists like Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, Hozier, and Dua Lipa, but also by the people around me, my chosen family and the conversations that stay with me long after they end.

Coming this September, I’ll be releasing a new Bossa Nova pop EP with seven songs, blending dreamy textures, honest lyrics, and a playful sonic world I can’t wait to share with you.

Thank you for listening, for sharing, and for being part of this journey. I hope you find something in these songs that feels like yours too.

With love,
Hazel Rose x
