A little about me
Hi, I’m Hazel Rose.
I’m a singer songwriter based in London, born and raised in Switzerland to a Danish mother and a Turkish father. My multicultural background shapes not only who I am, but the music I make. A genre blending mix of indie pop, bossa nova and jazz pop that reflects both my heritage and the emotional worlds I’ve moved through.
Music has always been part of my life. I grew up surrounded by my parents’ playlists, from The Beatles and Fleetwood Mac to Creedence Clearwater Revival. I still remember buying my first CD, Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black, and singing it on repeat. Music is what grounds me, wherever I am in the world.
My songs are rooted in storytelling. Honest, unfiltered, sometimes a little raw. I write from personal experience. Friendships, heartbreak, healing, identity, and the quiet moments in between. While artists like Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, Hozier and Dua Lipa inspire me, I’m just as influenced by the people around me, my chosen family, and the conversations that linger long after they end.
Over the years, I’ve built an independent catalogue of music that reflects different chapters of my life, with songs that have found their way onto major Spotify editorial playlists including All New Pop and New Music Friday (Global).
In early 2026, I released Hush, the first step into a new creative chapter. I’m currently preparing a new bossa nova pop EP, out this September, featuring seven songs that blend dreamy textures, playful energy and lyrical honesty.
Thank you for listening, for sharing, and for being part of this journey. I hope you find something in these songs that feels like yours too.
With love,
Hazel Rose x
